Butcher Block Countertop, Wood Countertop, Kitchen Island

Whether a full kitchen, an island, or just a cutting board, we can design and build any piece you can dream up! Our Butcher Block Countertops are 1.5" thick solid Black Walnut, Hard Maple, Black Limba or Mountain Cherry.

Our butcher blocks are made from edge grain hard wood for long lasting beauty, Edge grain is denser than face grain giving you a more robust surface ideal for cutting. We hand-select and mill each wood board using only full length boards, so there are absolutely no finger joints or mismatched butt joints, just long beautiful uninterrupted Walnut grain.

Please note that every custom countertop is unique given that the wood grain for hardwood is variable. We handcraft each board to ensure that you receive the most beautiful piece for your kitchen countertop or kitchen island. If you would like a particular coloring, or grain variation, please include this information in your order and we will be happy to make this custom countertop to your preference. Each countertop also has a 1/8 inch roundover for a smooth finish.

We finish our counter tops with Rubio Monocoat:
This finish is a modified oil finish that forms a molecular bond with the wood fibers for a durable and waterproof finish.
It is 100% VOC free meaning no harsh chemicals or odors.
Rubio Monocoat is a easy surface to maintain! If noticeable scratches appear on your table top surface, simply clean the damaged area well, smooth with light grit sandpaper and then reapply a new coat where needed.

Ordering is easy! Simply measure your space by width and depth. Once you have measured, choose the size needed in our drop down variation menu. Then proceed to checkout to complete your purchase. If you need a half size please order 1-2 inches over and put the exact dimensions in the notes. Also, please specify which wood counter top you would like - Black Walnut, Black Limba, Hard Maple, or Mountain Cherry.

Our processing time varies, but most countertops are ready to ship within 3-4 weeks. Our shop will also reach out to ensure that the dimensions and cabinetry layout will fit your custom piece. Once your order is ready to ship, you will receive the tracking information, allowing you to track your order from our workshop to your home!
